‘FROM DREAM TO SCHEME’

World-class R&D for Energy and Rotating Systems Innovation

- With complex projects, design iterations normally take time…

….Narrow skillsets require new or external support…

…New parts take weeks to make and get right…

…And each iteration gets bogged down in process…

At Bracey R&D Ltd, we however offer a one-stop shop for development.

Our services include:

  • Design & Analysis

    • Expert Design Review

    • Engineering Calculations

    • Finite Element Analysis (non-linear vibration, advanced materials)

    • Computational Fluid Dynamics (transonic aero, vacuum systems)

    Product Definition

    • 3D Modelling / Technical Drawings / GD&T

    • DFM / DFA / FMEA

    • Rapid Redesign

    Manufacture & Test

    • Low-Volume Manufacture (Turning, Welding, Additive Manufacturing, Laser Cutting)

    • Bench Testing / Instrumentation / Datalogging

    Electronics & Control

    • Microprocessors / Analogue Design

With our broad skills and pragmatic attitude, we shorten design iterations into days and hours, not months. We turn big engineering challenges into elegant, tested solutions — fast.

MEng (Cantab) CEng MIMechE

Tristram is a Cambridge-educated Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 17 years’ industrial experience in the design and development of micro-turbomachinery, vacuum systems, and high-temperature technologies.

Drawing on a background that includes multiple ongoing start-ups, world-class industrial R&D, and consultancy, he combines deep analytical expertise with hands-on design and fabrication capability.

As founder of Bracey R&D, Tristram integrates the full R&D cycle — from concept modelling and design through to prototype manufacture and testing — within a single, agile service that can also integrate seamlessly into larger design teams.

This end-to-end approach enables rapid progress through early-stage development, with the technical depth and professionalism required to align projects for investment and production.
